Tracker laughed and smiled at what Hotshot said. Tracker had finished patching up Cypher and some of the other bots. He found a place and sat down. Sigh. He hadn’t had any rest since he got here. Helping prime, travelling to earth from mars and helping patch up the bots. He needed a break. “Is there a place I can stay, out of the way. I need to catch up on some sleep. unless...” he looked towards optimus and spirit, he was interested in what was going on but didn't want to get in the way. though it may be best to know whats going on

Feeling the light tension between all of the bots, Ryan caught Sideswipe's attention long enough to signature that he needed help down from the table. As he did so, Sideswipe questioned his ability to roam about. "I'm going for a walk, let you guys catch up with the big' bot and such. I'll head to the neighborhood and see if Alexis is home and if I can drag her by, Shes' been questioning Optimus's appearance every now and then" he grinned. Sideswipe smiled back, and simply nodded. Overhearing the conversation, Shadowflux only laid at his bedrest with a small grin aswell. The human act of kindness always sent a small vibe down his receptor. But as the human was gone, practically all optics were placed among Optimus, Fenix, and Leohawk. Just what happened to their femme leader?

Reno and Jetfire had been in the background for a while. At Moonshriek and Rodimus's disappearance, they had exchanged a solemn glance. Jetfire longed to stay with his Commander, but he also wondered where the younger Prime was. He had been gone longer than was comfortable, and he could tell Reno was worried as well. They exchanged another silent glance, then Reno slipped out of the room silently, almost ghostlike.

(Ayeee! My fingers!)
Optimus glanced over at Tracker and nodded towards him. "Yes, there is," he replied. "There are some temporary quarters down the corridors on your right. You can pick out whatever suits you best. However, I recommed that you stick around a little while longer." But his attention was diverted when he spotted Rodimus Prime and Reno walking into the base. Much to his surprise, he saw a strange human sitting on his right shoulder alongside Moonshriek. He was puzzled that the younger Prime would bring him in, but he made no comment about it. He would speak to him later when he got the time. However, his main concern lay with Starblaze and Leohawk and he motioned them to speak. He was not impatient, just concerned as to what was wrong. "You may speak now, Leohawk," he said encouragingly, trying to make the golden mech more comfortable with the discussion.
Rodimus turned to face Leohawk and Starblaze, awaiting for them to speak at Optimus' order. He knew they were nervous, but the elder Prime's words were kind and gentle, providing them with the strength that they needed to explain what was wrong with Spiritimus. He wished that Optimus would give him some encouragement too, but now was not the time. He had to be strong during times like this, and he could not afford to be a foolish thinker.
Leohawk glanced over at Starblaze once and she nodded back him. Sighing, he took a few steps forward until he was standing beside the elder Prime. He felt his stomach twist a little into an uncomfortable knot but the encouragement was all he needed to explain the truth beneath Spiritimus' unusual nightmares and seizures. "Lady Spiritimus Prime," he began, "has a connection to a dangerous mech called Nephthys Prime." "Who is Nephthys Prime? And what is this connection you are talking about?" Optimus asked. "Nephthys Prime is a clone of Lady Spiritimus Prime, sir. She was captured by a group of Decepticons and they took a piece of her Spark after they tortured her, trying to pry out information about the Autobots and your whereabouts. But she never told them anything. She fought like a demon, doing everything in her power to prevent them from getting anything from her. So they cloned her Spark and then pitted him against her. She would've died that time if we hadn't came in to rescue her. We thought we killed him, but he's been after us ever since."
Hotshot frowned and bowed his head in sadness. He, Sideswipe, and Ryan had heard this story before and had promised to not say a word about it at all until this moment had come, but they had not heard about the connection Spiritimus and Nephthys shared. "So what does that mean?" he asked. "This connection? How come she's having those nightmares and seizures and what does the connection have to do with them?"
Leohawk sighed as he regarded the young racer, his silver optics piercing into the blue ones, which showed determination and loyalty. "Every time," he explained, "Nephthys Prime gets into one of those negative emotions of his, Lady Spiritimus often has nightmares and sees through his mind. Other times, when she has a vision from the Matrix, he too can experience them and track her down or use them to his advantage whenever he gets the chance. He can even peer to her mind whenever she is asleep and this too can lead to nightmares. However, whenever she is awake he can try and give her false images, torturing her mind a bit before she starts to have a seizure and..." Spiritimus Prime screamed in her sleep again, the nightmares taking their toll on her once again. She thrashed and kicked about, her wings flapping in fear in an impossible attempt to fly away from an unknown danger that only she could see. Before anyone could do anything, Leohawk and Starblaze were upon her in a matter of seconds. The golden mech grabbed her arms tightly, but not too tightly, while Starblaze gently took a hold of her wings. Leohawk glared over at Optimus, his wings twitching in concern for the wellbeing of his Prime. "Damn it, Optimus!" he growled. "Don't just sit there all confused, touch her and reassure her. It's the only way she can fight off those negative thoughts that Nephthys is feeling!"
Optimus was confused by the golden mech's order. He didn't understand what he meant until he told him to touch her daughter. He lifted a hand and gently wrapped it around one of her clenched fists, using a finger to offer her comfort. "Talk to her," came Starblaze's gentle words. Optimus nodded and glanced over at his daughter. He wasn't sure if she could hear him, but it was worth a try. Did Leohawk and Starblaze try this before or did they just know? "Spirit, can you hear me?" he asked quietly, praying that she would. Spiritimus seemed to halt at his words and held still a minute longer while her father spoke. "It's ok, Spirit. I'm here now and there's nothing to worry about. Leohawk told me about Nephthys and I'm here for you if you need any support. Just come back to me and tell me what is bothering you. I need to see you again and talk to you face to face." He wasn't sure if he was heard or not, but when Spiritimus stopped thrashing again, both Leohawk and Starblaze let go of her. He decided that it would be best if he kept a hold of her hand to let her know that he was still there beside her. Physical contact seemed to be the only thing he could do now. As long as Nephthys has that odd connection with Spiritimus, mental contact could no longer be used, otherwise Nephthys would learn more about the bond that they shared and would use it to his advantage. He turned back to Leohawk and nodded. "Thank you, Leohawk, for the details. You may leave if you want to, but that is all I need from you." "Permission to stay behind for Lady Spiritimus Prime, sir, until she wakes up. I feel that my place is always beside her." "Granted, Leohawk." Leohawk nodded his appreciation, but Optimus watched as Starblaze turnining to leave. He guessed that she was going off to let the others know that all had been said and done. Optimus took that opportunity to turn and glance back at Leohawk once again, confusion and unsureness in his optics. "Can this connection be rid of?" he asked.
Leohawk's optics shifted to Optimus's and his scarred face pulled a faint smile on his lips. "It can be, but the only way to do that is to kill Nephthys or the other way around."
"You mean one of them has to die?" Hotshot suddenly asked in shock and fear.
"Unfortunately, yes." Was Leohawk's only reply before he turned back to watch over his former leader.

Nightwise gave a sad chirp and landed near Talon, watching over it's master while Scavenger quietly observed Optimus and his daughter, feeling a sort of protective urge toward them.

Reno's catlike ears pricked as she heard Nightwise, and she walked over to Talon's berth. Jetfire noticed her sad expression and walked up to her, putting an arm around her shoulders. "She...She stayed to fight, even when she was almost scrapped...."

Nightwise gave them a small, but grateful peep. It fleeted over and rested on Reno's helm, lightly tapping her with its tiny claws. Talon remained still and comatose, but otherwise stable.

Tracker shook his head. he looked at the two primes, sigh, to have gone through that and to still be suffering becuase of it. [could only happen to a Prime] He was tired, he looked at the bots, they had beem repaired to the best his and sideswipes abilities. he got up and quietly left, heading towards to the temporary quarters, he needed to recharge.

Sighing at the story, Sideswipe only looked away and continue aiding Shadowflux, whom laid at rest thinking about the situation Lady Spiritimus had been through. "You knew, Sideswipe?" he asked lightly, amazed by the young mechs' response to the story. He could only nod silently, and Shadowflux returned it, crossing his hands among his 'stomach' and letting the bot work on his wounds.

Optimus turned and glanced over at Sideswipe and Hotshot. He had a feeling that the two knew about the story that Leohawk had spoken about but he did not say anything to confirm his suspicions. The body language that they were giving off was proof enough. His gaze shifted over to Rodimus Prime, who had not moved since his arrival. The maroon and yellow mech seemed distant in his thoughts and unable to comply as what was wrong with him. He decided that he would have a word with him when he had the time. When he noticed the exhausted looks that many of the other 'Bots were giving off, he decided that now would be a good time to get as much rest as they possibly could. They had had a long day and it would be only a matter of time before they dropped from exhaustion. "Get some rest everyone, I'm sure you're all exhausted from today. Rodimus, remain behind, I need to speak with you before you go off and get your recharge from today."
Rodimus blinked his optics in surprise, but he nodded a little as he shifted his cloak a little to make himself feel less uncomfortable and more alert. He didn't mind if Moonshriek remained behind or not. Even if she left, he would be more than welcome to find her later one. Her companionship with him made him less alone and more braver when the leadership was past on to him. He turned his head towards the figure, who was still hanging around underneath his cloak, and the odd human. "Do you two want to stay with me or do you want to leave?"
Hotshot stretched his arms a little, nodding at Optimus's suggestion before he looked over at Sideswipe and back at Rodimus. He hadn't seen the maroon mech in a long while, mainly because of Spiritimus leaving for a whole year. He decided he would talk to him a little later, but not now. He focused his attention on Sideswipe once again as he approached him and gently placed a hand on his shoulder, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "You going to be alright, Sideswipe?" he asked quietly.
Leohawk refused to budge. Even if he had his loyalties to the Primes, he still felt that his place was right beside Spiritimus, Rodimus, and Optimus. However, his main loyalty lay with Spiritimus because he had been selected, alongside Starblaze, to be her official bodyguard. It was his job and he refused to remove himself from his position unless she or anyone else ordered him too. "My place is here with Lady Spiritimus, sir."

Reaper scowled at being covered by the cloak. he jumped down from rodimus shoulder onto to table. he looked at the bots around. he stared and the to Primes longer then the others, there wasn't much he could do in this room with so many bots around, at least nothing bad. what would he gain from staying here? but he didn't know where to go either. for now he decided to stay here, not all the bots probaly knew he was here and they might not trust him.

Taking almost no notice to Hotshot's gesture, Sideswipe continued his work until Shadowflux fell into another sleep, a peaceful, restoring one rather than a painful coma. Turning to the yellow mech, his optics showed not sorrow, but fear. He had a bad feeling amongst his female leaders' dreams and connections to this Nephthys Prime. Before dismissing himself out for a small break among the patients, he lightly spoke to Hotshot, "I will be fine. But now that we're low on numbers, I can't sit on the sidelines anymore. I need to battle. For the sake of our commanders, Hotshot. It should be the soldiers before commander when it comes to being in statis lock, elsewise, how are we to maneuver without order? I'm tired of hiding in storage closets and radar watching while everyone else is fighting..." Sighing, the mech turned and left the room, a small gloomy cloud hanging over his head.

Hotshot sighed in disappointment. He had a feeling that his little brother was feeling useless and unhappy. Now that their numbers were down due to the rescue of Cypher and Megatron's appearance on Earth, things were starting to look bleak already. He sometimes wished that there was more that he could do to help him. With Optimus's return, Spiritimus's connection to Nephthys Prime, the injured Talon, and a couple of new additions to the Autobot team, things may become harder and harder by the minute that ticked by. Sighing, he excused himself politely to both Optimus and Rodimus, and he departed from the room as well. He needed some time to himself to think about what had happened so quickly. It would only be a matter of time before something else crazy happened, and Hotshot did not like the word crazy at all.
Rodimus glanced down at Reaper curiously, but he was quick to dismiss his presence, right now, he needed to pay close attention to Optimus. He could tell he had something to say and he was determined to pay as much heed as he possibly could. It had to be very important if he wanted to speak to him in private. "So what is it you wanted to see me about, Optimus?" he asked as he tilted his head to one side in curiosity.
Optimus chuckled again. His warm aura sending calming effects on the maroon and yellow flamed young Prime. He could sense Rodimus was nervous about his new job for the time being, but there didn't appear to be enough of it to reassure him and give him as much comfort as he could ever give him. Right now, he needed him to do him a favour. Shifting his wise gaze from Rodimus to Spiritimus, he nodded towards his daughter before sighing again. "I need you to open up her chassis," he commanded gently. Rodimus appeared to be dumb-struck. "Sir?" he questioned. Optimus repeated his command once again followed by his soft words, "Within her chest is the Matrix of Leadership. I gave it to her to keep it safe while I battled Megatron in the hopes of ending the Energon-Chaos. While she is the next Prime in line for it, she cannot use it while she is not in commission. When either her or I recover first, one of us will take the Matrix back to return to leadership." He turned his gaze back onto Rodimus. "Since you are entitled as Prime like she and I are, you must take over command until one of us recovers. It is the way it is meant to be."
Rodimus gulped nervously. Did Optimus really mean it? He was supposed to take the Maxtrix and take over the command of the Autobots until either Spiritimus or Optimus recovered from their injuries? He wasn't sure if he was suppsed to be happy or annoyed with the idea. However, since he was the next one in line for the title of Prime if anything happened to both Optimus and Spiritimus, he knew that it was impossible for him to ignore his destiny. Without a leader, there would be chaos and disorder in the Autobot cause. They needed a leader and they needed one now. "Alright, Optimus, sir," he managed to say, "I'll do it."
Optimus nodded his appreciation and he motioned to Rodimus to move towards Spiritimus. He watched as the young mech approached the blue femme and he waited for further intructions. But Optimus didn't move or say anything at all, it was as though he was waiting for something or someone to do what he mentally commanded. But still nothing happened. Finally, he spoke again, his voice barely even a whisper, "You should know how to open a chest component, Rodimus." Rodimus blinked in surprise. "I... I do, sir. But isn't it disrespectful to go around touching your daughter?" "It may seem that way, but it's not. You are doing what you think is right. Now, open the chest cavity." Optimus once again did not say or do anything. He was trusting the Maxtrix to decide whether or not Rodimus was worthy of holding it until their return to their duties. If it did decide he was, then he would be the next Prime if anything happened to them.
Rodimus couldn't help but shiver under his armour, he was a little afraid of what he might achieve if he decided to take the Maxtrix. Even the comfort of Moonshriek did not seem to settle down his hidden fear. Still, it was for the best of his Autobot friends. They needed a leader and they needed one now. One that would help them fight off the Decepticons for as long as they possibly could. Carefully, he opened Spiritimus's chest cavity. Instead of seeing what he thought he saw, he found the Maxtrix sitting comfortably in front of her Spark chamber. The Spark was nestled within the chamber, avoiding all contact to prevent it from becoming damaged from the outside world. Carefully brushing his finger tips against the handles that held the blue crystal within it, Rodimus gently picked it up and closed up the chest cavity. To his surprise, Spiritimus shrank a little by a few inches and lost some of her proper muscular structure that the Matrix had provided for her while she held the precious tailsman. Being very careful, he placed it in his chest to give it a safe haven for the time being. He felt some changes, like an increase in his body structure and a boost to his knowledge, but he still felt out of place with this task. He would get used to it eventually. He was far too tired to make any protests, and Optimus would agree with him anyway.
"Well done, Rodimus Prime," came Optimus's gentle words. "Now go and rest now. I need to do some catching up with Spirit and see to it that she is well cared for. A fair warning though, do not allow Nephthys Prime to see into your mind. He will take advantage of you and use your visions against you. Beware that the Maxtrix might give off false information and fake words of advice. Take care that you make the right choices in life."
Rodimus nodded once and turned to leave. He did not need to tell Moonshriek that he was desperate for some company. He just hoped that she would get the message and come with him. Now that he was given the task of becoming Prime, he had never felt more alone than ever before. Was this how Spiritimus and Optimus felt when they had taken leadership? He wasn't sure, but it was better than becoming insane with unhappiness and depression.
